Many women have found themselves uttering “deal with it” through gritted teeth during the challenges of period pain, the recovery after childbirth while wearing surgical underwear, or enduring the physical and psychological changes of perimenopause. The inherent capacity for transformation is an extraordinary trait ingrained in women, present in their bones, breasts, bellies, and births. Turning pain and unrest into something powerful is a shared destiny, both physically and emotionally, for womankind.

It is strongly believed that providing women with the means to care for themselves during transformative times, along with all the accompanying difficulties, can turn the “deal with it” mentality into something positive, empowering, and invigorating. This belief led to the establishment of Nyssa, born out of the founders’ shock at the lack of solutions available for postpartum healing. Their first creation, FourthWear Postpartum Recovery Underwear, was the solution they sought.

Currently, Nyssa collaborates with experts in the field, such as OB-GYNs, pelvic floor therapists, doulas, sex educators, and women from various corners of the world. The goal is to ensure that their designs offer tangible results, assisting each woman in dealing with the unique physical and emotional transformations they all experience.

Open discussions and sharing of experiences are actively encouraged. Recognizing the depth of collective, connective resilience, empathy, and possibility can only happen when women talk, listen, and share their stories.
